Hello from the PTO!

 Dear Parents,

Welcome new Kesher Israel Parents and welcome back to our returning friends!  We can’t wait to see you all!  Even though we are all enjoying our summer vacation with our family and friends, we are also planning ahead for all the fun 2018-2019 events for our KI children.  We are so excited to kick off another great year and we know your children are going to make lasting, heartwarming memories.

The PTO is an organization designed to bring parents together to meet and socialize, to facilitate communication between parents and teachers and also very importantly, to develop a network of volunteers to assist with activities and fundraisers throughout the year.  YOU are what helps KI run seamlessly throughout the school year!

Kesher Israel is very fortunate to have a wonderful community of families and we look forward to getting to know our new families, too.  If you are new to our school, please introduce yourself to us at one of our upcoming meet and greets and volunteer for some of the school events to get to know other parents, as well!

On the back side of this letter, you will find a list of our school events through the year.  We have opportunities for everyone to participate.  Whether you can join us for events during school hours, only in the evenings, or even if you prefer to help out from home – we have it all!  Siblings, Grandparents & Nannies are welcome!  You can even bring siblings to most school events where you choose to volunteer!  PTO graciously asks for your help to volunteer to make each event such a success for our children, teachers & parents!  All of our activities benefit from the enthusiasm and efforts of our parents.  Most importantly, these events are only possible when we have the volunteers needed to make each event safe & successful.  Kesher Israel becomes such a fun and supportive community when we know each other and get together more often.  Also, look out for an email with all of the links to sign up for these great events!

We will have a PTO Welcome Table set up at the New Parent Orientation/Parent Workshop on Thursday, August 30th.  We encourage you to stop by & say ‘Hello’, get more information and to sign up for these wonderful events!  On Thursday, September 13th and Friday, September 14th, right after drop off, please join us in the Social Hall for “Schmooze & Shmear” with light refreshments, coffee, tea & most importantly, to catch up with old friends and meet new ones!  You will also have the opportunity to sign up to help with events here, too.

In addition to these events, PTO will keep you informed through the school year with our “PTO News” section of the school’s weekly Parent Newsletter, direct mail, and on our PTO Bulletin Board located outside of the office.  We welcome any ideas and feedback you may have, so please feel free to email us ( or chat with us in person.

These next few years are precious for you and your child(ren). Your child(ren) will ALWAYS remember getting to see their Moms, Dads, Grandparents and other special grown-ups volunteer at school events. We look forward to seeing you this Fall and we anticipate your support to continue our tradition of excellence at Kesher Israel Preschool!
