The Rebecca Kauffman Memorial Library

Mysteries, real life sagas, espionage, jokes, sports, art, crafts, guidance, friendship, history, how to cook award winning kugel – all of these things andmore can be found in one place…the KI Library!

Established in 1944, our award-winning Library is used by the entire community and is an integral part of the Religious School.  It truly symbolizes our congregation’s commitment to Jewish learning.  Not only is the Library used for social gatherings, research, a quiet work area, and meetings, it provides access to Jewish resources and educational programming.

The Library houses over 3,500 resources – books, music, movies –  covering a wide variety of subjects and topics.  Our collection includes only Jewish themed resources or resources written by Jewish authors for adults and children.  Categories include: children’s fiction/non fiction (chapter/board/picture), young adult, bible stories, holidays, humor, cookbooks, sports, Hebrew, religion, novels, historical fiction, fiction, biographies, best sellers, poetry, philosophy, travel, parenting, interfaith, reference/encyclopedias, Holocaust, Israel and more.  To view a complete listing of all library resources, select the “Library Database” file below.  When in the spreadsheet, use sort or find to look for specific titles or authors.

Every member of KI has an account set up in the Library.  There is no need to sign up or worry about a library card.  The circulation and catalog system is computerized using specialized library software.  There is also a computer running MS Office applications with Internet capabilities and printer available for general use.

It’s a great place to relax with a book or do work on your laptop – wireless Internet access is available.   Please stop in and enjoy all the wonderful resources we have to offer!
