Dear parents, families, and students,
I am Scott Goldman, your child’s Kitah Gimmel religious school teacher. I am so excited this year to be teaching the 3rd grade class at KI. I have been teaching religious school for more than 16 years and really enjoy the challenge of creating a classroom environment where the kids will not only learn a lot, but where they will truly enjoy coming to class. My family and I have been congregants of KI for the past 13 years. I live in Downingtown with my wife and where we raised our 2 children who were part of the KI religious school and who are now grown. During the week, I am a biomedical engineer, working with implantable biomaterials to create medical devices. In my spare time, I love the beach, and also enjoy playing disc golf, bowling, watching Philadelphia sports, and listening to audio books while walking my dog.
This should be a terrific year of learning and fun. We will be focused on learning about Israel, Torah, holidays, and of course Hebrew and prayers.
There will be lots of crafts, songs, videos, and even some GaGa!
School begins on September 20 and I can’t wait to meet all of you!
Shalom,
Mr. Goldman
