Sisterhood

Kesher Israel Sisterhood, affiliated with Women’s League for Conservative Judaism, is committed to the preservation and promotion of Conservative Judaism in the home, synagogue, and community.  Sisterhood supports the congregation by providing social, educational, and community building programs that benefit the congregation.  Sisterhood holds brunches, a fashion show, and Shabbat dinners. It provides the Oneg Shabbat and Kiddush after services. Sisterhood also brings in speakers and runs both the Judaica shop and kosher wine sales.

As with any successful organization, Sisterhood’s achievements depend on their members.  In the past, the programs have succeeded due to the deep commitment of extraordinary volunteers.  Sisterhood is continuously looking for interested new members and offers new members of Kesher Israel free membership in Sisterhood for the first year.  We have position available in Sisterhood at all levels including Board positions, chairpersons, and volunteers. By getting involved, Sisterhood offers wonderful opportunities to create lasting friendships.
