Jewish Community High School of Gratz College

Gratz Hebrew High School and Confirmation

8th through 12th grade students meet with students from other area synagogues to study at the Chester County Branch of the Jewish Community High School of Gratz College. Classes are offered on Sunday and Monday nights. Students may choose to attend one or both evenings.

JCHS is one of the largest and most comprehensive supplementary Hebrew high school programs in North America. Thousands of Jewish teens have connected with their Jewish Heritage through the JCHS program:

  • Experienced faculty, representing all streams of Judaism.
  • Opportunities to meet Jewish teens from the greater Philadelphia area through informal educational programs.
  • Programs, locations and hours to suit every level of interest.
  • Opportunities to take courses earning college credit.
  • Teaching certificate programs as well as certificates for all levels of interest and ability.
  • Participation in the Service Learning institute and earned credits towards high school community service requirements.
  • A comfortable setting for youth with special needs who are studying and celebrating Jewish life’s milestones together

Confirmation class meets monthly with our Rabbi for 10th Grade students enrolled in either Gratz or a Jewish Day School. Our confirmation service is held on Shavuot.
